With one of our own team members becoming a cancer survivor this year, Lincoln Park Rugby joined participants all over the world in the Movember initiative. Several club players put away their razors for the month and grew the hairy caterpillar.  Their attempts ranged from an ink smudge to a ‘stache that would have made Tom Selleck proud.

Our initial goal was $1500, but thanks to the incredible support of other club members and also those who support our club, both on a game day but especially in endeavours such as these, we blew past that goal and raised close to 4 times that total at just under $6000.

For this event, we are asking that each bowler bring a toy which we will be distributing to the Lurie Children’s Hospital to bring a little Christmas joy to those kids who must, unfortunately, be away from home for the holidays.
